ABOUT ME

Welcome!  My name is Laurel Barnes, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Portland, OR. In 2008 I became a social worker because I wanted to help people live meaningful, intentional, and safe lives.  Myself included!  I have a background in child advocacy, in community building for and with LGBT parented families, in child welfare, and as a medical social worker specializing in pediatric oncology. When I'm not working you might find me sewing, devouring a really great TV drama, reading, taking a road trip, exploring the woods, or if I'm really lucky, floating a river.  I absolutely love rain, which makes the Pacific Northwest a good place for me.

I welcome you to All Rivers Counseling. My office is conveniently located in the Belmont neighborhood of Southeast Portland, providing a comfortable and private setting for our sessions. Virtual therapy sessions are also available.
